A Visit to YORK FX in Canada – Office Found

Reason for this visit
Canadas forex market is highly unique. While the country has a centralized financial regulator—the Canadian Securities Administrators (CSA)—overseeing the broader financial sector, retail forex trading is primarily regulated by the Investment Industry Regulatory Organization of Canada (IIROC), a self-regulatory organization operating under the CSA. Established in 2008, the IIROC has independently built many low-level regulatory bodies supervising three regions and ten provinces respectively with their own independent laws and regulations. The integration of unity and differentiation in regulation makes the Canadian forex market the most complex in the world. In order to help investors or practitioners to gain a more comprehensive understanding of forex brokers in Canada, WikiFX survey team decides to go to the country for on-site visits to local companies.

A seasoned and professional inspection team, committed to safeguarding investor interests, conducted a meticulously planned on-site verification of the forex broker YORK FX at 69 Yorkville Avenue in Toronto, Ontario.
The investigators successfully arrived at the target address in Toronto‘s Yorkville Avenue, located in the downtown Toronto. Although the area is considered central, the street exhibited moderate activity on the day of the visit, appearing slightly quieter compared to the bustling financial hub. The target building was clearly visible, with directory signage displaying tenant information. Notably, the name “York Foreign Exchange” (YORK FX) was prominently listed on the building’s directory.
Upon entering the building lobby, the investigators first examined the tenant directory. After a thorough search, “York Foreign Exchange” was confirmed to be listed, with its unit number clearly marked as Suite 102. This discovery served as the first key direct evidence confirming the companys presence at this address.
Following the directory guidance, the investigators proceeded to Suite 102 on the first floor. Upon arrival, company-related branding, including its logo, was visibly displayed outside the unit. However, further access to the internal office space was denied, preventing an assessment of the interior layout or decor standards. Despite this limitation, the inspection team was able to observe and photograph the reception area with the brokers logo from outside.
Through the on-site investigation, it is confirmed that the broker maintains a physical presence at the location.
Conclusion
The survey team went to Canada to visit forex broker YORK FX as scheduled and found the company at the regulatory address. It indicates that the broker has a physical office at the place. Meanwhile, investors are advised to make a judicious decision following much deliberation.
